Name: Roy Brazzale Obituary: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Roy John Brazzale, 81 of Chico, on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church. Roy passed away at home on Saturday, July 17, 2010. He was born February 19, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois. He enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean War. He graduated from USC with his Masters and Doctarate degrees. On November 16, 1957, he married Isabella Toth in Van Nuys, CA. They moved to Chico in 1968. Roy was a professor of Social Work at CSU, Chico for 25 years. He enjoyed working in his garden, traveling and reading. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Isabella of Chico; one sister, Jennie Ragsdale of Arcadia, CA; and seven nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday evening, July 20, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Our Divine Savior Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Enloe Hospice in care of the Brusie Funeral Home.
